MHP Traffic Reporting is a feature of the customer portal of Managed Hosting Partners, operated by MHP Digital Limited. It records how many visits each website we host receives per month, so that hosting plans and reports are based on real traffic.
Once a customer connects their Google Analytics account, MHP Traffic Reporting:
When you choose to connect Google Analytics, MHP Traffic Reporting asks Google for read-only access to your Google Analytics data (the analytics.readonly scope). That access is used only to list your properties and data streams and to read the monthly session count described above. MHP Traffic Reporting never changes anything in your Google Analytics account, never reads individual visitor data, and never reads any other Google data.
The only Google Analytics data we keep is the monthly session total per website. Access tokens are stored encrypted and are used only by our servers to run the monthly read.
You can withdraw access at any time from your Google account permissions page, or by asking us to remove the connection. Once access is withdrawn no further reads are made.
As an alternative to signing in with Google, a customer can instead add our reporting service account as a Viewer on their Google Analytics property. That gives the same read-only access and can be removed from Google Analytics at any time.
MHP Traffic Reporting’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
MHP Traffic Reporting is available only to existing hosting customers and agency partners of Managed Hosting Partners, through their invitation-only MHP Panel account. There is no public registration.
